Energy Science & Technology Jobs (by major)

Real energy jobs checked online in October 2026. Pick your major to see which skills keep coming up, then open any posting to read the saved PDF. Use it to plan what to learn over the next few years.

The website is prepared for ECS1100 students at UTD. Jia Li and Miao Miao searched and organized all the jobs posted here. Musa Ibne Mannan vibe coded with Claude to bring this to life.

    Tips and notes

    How to use this file

    • Pick your major with the buttons under the search box. Many roles are listed under more than one major.
    • Narrow the list by career stage (internships, early career, graduate degree, experienced) and by location (DFW, Texas outside DFW, other U.S., outside the U.S.), or search for a skill, company or city.
    • Open a posting to see its summary and the full saved PDF. Use Download PDF to keep a copy, or Open live posting to see the current listing.
    • See the skills. The right-hand panel and the Skills by major button show which skills repeat most for your major. Select any skill, including the skill chips inside a posting, to list every posting that asks for it.
    • Keyboard: / jumps to search, j and k move between postings, + and - zoom the PDF, Esc closes full screen.

    What the stage labels mean

Internships & co-opsStudent roles. Most set a GPA, graduation window or class year, so check who can apply.
New grad & early careerRoles for people finishing a bachelor's degree or in their first few years of work.
Graduate degreeRoles that ask for a master's or PhD, or for research experience.
ExperiencedSenior and specialist roles. Useful for seeing where each path can lead.

    Before you apply

    • Postings were checked between October 23 and 26, 2026. Most saved PDFs hold the employer's full posting text, reformatted for print (from the employer's own careers page or a public copy on a job board). Others hold a short paraphrased summary, and a few list only the archive notes because the posting text could not be recovered. The tag on each card and the note at the top of each PDF say which kind it is.
    • Major tags help you browse. The posting itself decides who is eligible.
    • Check graduation dates, GPA minimums, work authorization and on-site rules in the full posting. Many energy and utility jobs state they do not sponsor visas or need U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and postings outside the U.S. need local work rights.
    • Pay ranges are shown when the employer listed one. Some are hourly, some weekly or yearly and a few are in other currencies, so compare with care.

    About this collection

    • 123 postings from 71 employers (Adecco, Amazon (AWS), Apple, Atmos Energy, Base Power Company, Carter Murray, Chevron, Clearway Energy Group, ComboCurve, Commonwealth Fusion Systems, Constellation Energy, Cypress Creek Renewables, Delta Electronics, Diamondback Energy, Dow, ENGIE, ERCOT, Enchanted Rock, Energy Transfer, EnergyHub, Esri, EthosEnergy, ExxonMobil, Fervo Energy, Fortiva, GE Vernova, GenSystems Power Solutions, Guidehouse, HF Sinclair, Halliburton, Heat Transfer Research, Inc. (HTRI), Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Hitachi Energy, Kairos Power, KoBold Metals, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Leidos, MPI Energy, Macquarie Group, Mainspring Energy, MetOx International, Microsoft, Mitsubishi Power Americas, Mortenson, NELSON BRAD X LLC, NOV, Naval Nuclear Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oklo, Oncor Electric Delivery, Oracle, Oxford Knight client, Paragon Energy Solutions, PipeSense, Redwood Materials, SLB, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Shell, Siemens, Siemens Energy, Sol-Ark, Southwest Research Institute, SpaceX, TerraPower, Tesla, Trane Technologies, Vistra, Wylie Engineering, Xcel Energy, ZettaJoule, bp), gathered by major for ECS 1100 and merged here into one list. A posting that appeared in more than one major’s sheet is listed once with all of its majors.
    • Location groups: DFW area (Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Allen, Irving and nearby; 15 postings), Texas outside DFW (49, mostly Houston and Austin), other U.S. sites (53) and outside the U.S. (6). A posting with several sites is in the DFW group when one of its sites is in DFW.
    • Skills were found by matching about 50 skill terms against each posting’s text, after removing company boilerplate. A skill counts once per posting. Summary PDFs are shorter than full postings, so their skill lists are shorter too.
    • Job IDs (ENERGY-001 to ENERGY-123) are labels for this collection only. ENERGY-001 to ENERGY-050 match the first archive index, ENERGY-051 to ENERGY-079 come from the EE, ME and CE summary sheets, and ENERGY-080 onward were added on October 26, 2026 from the expanded archive, whose own index numbers them ENERGY-051 to ENERGY-094. Each PDF lists the archive or course-sheet ID it came from.
    • Employers are shown with initials instead of logos.
    • The saved PDFs are in the pdfs folder next to this page.
